Beena's wedding!

I know this sounds exaggerated, but I stayed up til 3am last night (don't judge me) cause I was THAT excited! HAHA.
Wedding invitation
We planned to go to this event WEEKS before today, and guess what? I SUDDENLY had no transport?? (found out yesterday night). I was sooo down, but luckily Syuhada said she could pick me up on the way there!! This is actually my first time to go out anywhere via friends' car! I know it sounds saspen, but I grew up
with overprotective parents, so... of course I was iski HAHA
Source of transportation

Our meeting point was at Sumbangsih. Nisa drove her own car with Duan, Hasif and Wan as her passengers. Syirah also drove her own car, where she gave Ili a lift. Boon was sent by his mother. Boon, Nisa and her passengers arrived first. We (Syu and I) arrived second. Syirah and Ili were the last to arrive. As we approached a round table, where Boon and Hasif were sitting at, I realised that they both wore the same coloured clothings (Blue), and that includes Syu too! After that, Nisa, Wan and Duan came to the picture. They were back from purchasing food and beverages. Duan, Nisa and I coincidently wore brown! Not long after that, Syirah and Ili arrived. Syirah wore the same coloured clothing as Boon, Hasif and Syu while Ili dressed more or less the same with Wan! they just had different patterned skirts. This was amusing to us cause, we didn't plan this at all! What spiced things up was that the committee's, who were associated with Beena's wedding, theme was brown and Beena wore the same coloured blue!!

Brief catching up session, just before the arrival of Ili and Syirah

At precisely 11.30am, We all walked our ways to the Sumbangsih hall, 1st floor- The venue of the wedding. We were given gifts and were ushered to our seats. As usual, the standardised procedures took place: Brief background of bride and groom, a poem and speech of appreciation for the guests who attended the wedding, recital of prayers, arrival of bride and groom *heart eyes!!*, FOOD and picture taking! Alhamdulillah, the wedding was perfectly smooth and everything was great! it was like our little reunion, well, some of us. Chuen, Nazrin, Waie, Chong and How Yong couldn't make it. However, the day was still amazing! Beena was on point af. HER MAKE UP OMG, so pretty T.T

The gift (large orange juice)
Rice: white and yellow
Beef rendang, Chicken in red sauce, pumpkin(as vegetable)

Oh, and guess what? Apparently Putri Norizah was there too! I got to take pictures with her. I also had a brief chat with her, telling her that my mom used to teach her History in STPRI. She sent her regards to my mom. Too bad her husband wasn't there, or else I could've taken pictures with the cute family. Yes, their little girl is soo cute!!

We also planned to have an impromptu hang out session at Jerudong Park, but that didn't happen :/ Oh well, none the less, My day was still made. We took LOADS of pics, but these are some of the ones I like:

Us right after taking pics w pengantin HEHE

Story behind this is hilarious!
taken just before we all left
My personal fav!!

Regarding the pic where I captioned it as "Story behind it is hilarious!", it isn't THAT hilarious. But at that moment, it was tbh HAHA. It happened as follows: Duan was taking pictures of us with his polaroid camera right after we stepped down the pelamin, but the lighting there made some of us not visible in the picture. So we went out, down the stairs. We stopped there cause it looked nice as our background picture. Plus, lighting was on point bruh. So, Duan took our pictures just like how we would take selfies (imagine his struggle HAHA). After several attempts and several inda menjadi poses, we finally posed perfectly.. until 2 people came along, wanting to go down the stairs. We all alughed it out and let them through. but one of the guy insisted us to take pictures first. We then exploited the situation, asking him to take a picture of us. As he put the camera up to one of his eyes, he instantly took the picture, without any of us (except Ili HAHA) being prepared. The thing is, he pressed the button more that once. As he pressed the button the second time, he was startled to the sound of the polaroid going out. WE ALL LAUGHED AND HE JUST SAID "eh, pikirtah camera digita1". Yup, that's basically it. If you don't find it that funny or amusing, that's alright, it's just gonna be our thing LMAOO

Syu and I in her car otw to my house

Next, why is the picture I captioned as "My personal fav!!" is my personal fav? Well, simply because we took this outside, so the sunlight in addition to the polaroid camera's flash made the picture appear "too bright"  as quoted from Ili. However, that's exactly why I LOVE it! It made the picture appear nostalgic, and plus, I'm not gonna lie: I look geeeewwdd. HAHAHA. Well, that, but also, Idk why but I appear youthful there. YOUTHFUL. IS. NOT. MY. LOOK. Cause like, I'm usuallyy mistaken as the "older sister" compared to my older sister cause Diyana looks youthful while I have the "matured" look, according to most people (and basically ourselves and our people). So, I'm kinda satisfied with that HAHA. Not that I don't like/accept me having the 'matured' look. Sekali sekala bah hahaha.

Look at her!! SHE'S SO PRETTY!!

I can't believe she'd married. 5 years ago we were just high schoolers, who knew 5 years later one of us got married! Also, She and her husband were together since 2012! Hopefully she's going strong. I wish her all the best and all the happiness she deserves! and beena if you're reading this, make sure to make loads of cute babies wink wink :p

23 blessed years!

So yesterday night, I couldn't sleep a wink due to the tonnes of youtube videos I watched.  After countless of times re-positioning my body to find my comfort, I then stopped and thought to myself, "Hey, I wanna make roses." I then got up and googled how to make roses with paper

My second attempt
My first attempt

I know I could’ve got up and go to the store to purchase real roses,  but it was 3.00am ish and plus, I can't officially drive YET. So like, yeah. Let’s not break the law shall we. Besides, I knew mom  (and probably dad, too) would’ve loved my hand made gift- and they did!

I know they aren't THAT good, cause like in the video (link found in the last sentence of the first paragraph), The petals are supposed to be circular than pointy, but hey, I guess my roses wanted to look extra. LMAO jk

Anyway, I finsihed making them around 5am ish. I completed these roses with a simple card and pasted them on my mom's mirror. I immediately went to bed after performing my Fajr prayer cause like, If you know me personally, I'm genuine when it comes to giving my people gifts (be it a chocolate bar or  just simply a letter), but I would always give it to them secretly or run away after giving it to them or ask them to open it "later" aka when I'm not around. Why? well, because... MALUUUUUUUUU :(

Excuse the background (cough my tiled floor cough)

So, I woke up at, 2pm, to dad texting my mom these exact words "Happy 23rd wedding anniversary to my beloved wife- may we see more of this day," in our whatsapp group. Mom also sent an audio recording and when I played it, it was a recording of our local radio DJ reading aloud the text my dad sent, and she dedicated a song called "Love Is A Many Splandored Thing" by frank Sinatra for my parents. My dad always does this annually for every special days especially on our Birthdays!

The letter

The day has not end yet! My family and I (excluding Diyana, since she's still in Indonesia) went to KTM restaurant in Jerudong, It's next to the Al-Ameerah Mosque. If you haven't been there then you should! They are one of my favourite restaurants to go to, family wise though. They have one of the best Salted Egg Crabs I've ever had! love love love. Anyway, tonight, we ordered slightly different things though:

Appetizer: Corn soup with crab meat
This was literally on fire HAHA
Honey Chicken (the one on fire)
Pandan Chicken
Mango Fish

Steamed Fish In Soya Sauce. We usually order Steamed Nyonya Fish (cause that's the best MM HMM) but they didn't have that tongiht, oh well :/

Salted Egg Prawn (I prefer crab but meh this was alright too haha)

Sayur Pakis. We actually ordered Egged Bittergourd too, but I "didn't get to " take a picture of it (i don't like bittergourd) HAHA

Before this post ends, I just want to give a shout out to my beloved parents. Don't forget to love and cherish them; every. single. day. Be grateful if your parents are always happy together and if you still have both of your parents. We all know the saying where parents always say "Children are the best gift one can ever have". I agree, but in my case, I really feel like my parents are the best gift for me. I love them so so so soo much. They're irreplaceable. I am so blessed that my parents are supportive, understanding and kind. I'm glad to have been raised by them. They made my 2017 better each day. I get so happy and all warm inside just writing about this haha!

Le Familia ft Nini and Aunty Salmah

Most importantly, never ever stop praying for them: " RABBIGHFIRLI WALIWALIDAYYA WARHAMHUMA KAMA RABBAYANI SOGHIRO" which directly translates as "My lord, forgive my sins and the sins of my father and mother, have mercy on them as they love me when I was a kid."

"Mommy, Daddy, Gambar!"
"Bah, buat muka bida!"

Today has yet been another blessed day and I am so thankful for everyone and everything I am blessed with in my life.

Live, Learn, Laugh.

'Til next time!
