So
yesterday night, I couldn't sleep a wink due to the tonnes of youtube videos I
watched. After countless of times re-positioning my body to find my
comfort, I then stopped and thought to myself, "Hey, I wanna make
roses." I then got up and googled how to make roses with paper.

| My first attempt |
I
know I could’ve got up and go to the store to purchase
real roses,
but it was
3.00am ish and plus, I can't officially drive
YET. So like, yeah. Let’s
not break the law shall we. Besides, I knew mom
(and probably dad, too) would’ve loved my hand made gift- and they did!
I know they aren't THAT good,
cause like in the video (link found in the last sentence of the first
paragraph), The petals are supposed to be circular than pointy, but hey,
I guess my roses wanted to look extra. LMAO jk
Anyway, I finsihed making them around 5am ish. I completed these roses with a simple card and pasted them on my mom's mirror. I immediately went to bed after performing my Fajr prayer cause like, If you know me personally, I'm genuine when it comes to giving my people gifts (be it a chocolate bar or just simply a letter), but I would always give it to them secretly or run away after giving it to them or ask them to open it "later" aka when I'm not around. Why? well, because... MALUUUUUUUUU :(

So, I woke up at, 2pm, to dad texting my mom these exact words "Happy 23rd wedding anniversary to my beloved wife- may we see more of this day," in our whatsapp group. Mom also sent an audio recording and when I played it, it was a recording of our local radio DJ reading aloud the text my dad sent, and she dedicated a song called "Love Is A Many Splandored Thing" by frank Sinatra for my parents. My dad always does this annually for every special days especially on our Birthdays!

The
day has not end yet! My family and I (excluding Diyana, since she's
still in Indonesia) went to KTM restaurant in Jerudong, It's next to the
Al-Ameerah Mosque. If you haven't been there then you should! They are
one of my favourite restaurants to go to, family wise though. They have
one of the best Salted Egg Crabs I've ever had! love love love. Anyway,
tonight, we ordered slightly different things though:
 |
| Appetizer: Corn soup with crab meat |
 |
| This was literally on fire HAHA |
 |
| Honey Chicken (the one on fire) |
 |
| Pandan Chicken |
 |
| Mango Fish |
Steamed Fish In Soya Sauce. We usually order Steamed Nyonya Fish (cause that's the best MM HMM) but they didn't have that tongiht, oh well :/
Salted Egg Prawn (I prefer crab but meh this was alright too haha)
Sayur Pakis. We actually ordered Egged Bittergourd too, but I "didn't get to " take a picture of it (i don't like bittergourd) HAHA
Before this post ends, I just want to give a shout out to my beloved parents. Don't forget to love and cherish them; every. single. day. Be grateful if your parents are always happy together and if you still have both of your parents. We all know the saying where parents always say "Children are the best gift one can ever have". I agree, but in my case, I really feel like my parents are the best gift for
me. I love them so so so soo much. They're irreplaceable. I am so blessed that my parents are supportive, understanding and kind. I'm glad to have been raised by them. They made my 2017 better each day. I get so happy and all warm inside just writing about this haha!

Most importantly, never ever stop praying for them: "
RABBIGHFIRLI WALIWALIDAYYA WARHAMHUMA KAMA RABBAYANI SOGHIRO" which directly translates as "
My lord, forgive my sins and the sins of my father and mother, have mercy on them as they love me when I was a kid."
 |
| "Mommy, Daddy, Gambar!" |
 |
| "Bah, buat muka bida!" |
Today has yet been another blessed day and I am so thankful for everyone and everything I am blessed with in my life.
Live, Learn, Laugh.
'Til next time!
